Sorry, this will be a little wordy. First, unscrew the crown. At this point if you turn the crown (clockwise when looking at the crown, thumb rolling up as you wind) you will manually wind the watch. This is recommended whenever you have let the watch wind down. You cannot overwind this watch, but 20 to 30 rotations of the crown should give you a full wind. To set the date pull the crown out one stop. Then turn the crown as before. The date will flip forward. If you want to be sure that you have the hands set properly, i.e., if you do not know if it is set to AM or PM time currently, leave the date one day earlier. For example, today is September 24. Only adjust the date to 23. Then pull the crown out to the second stop (that’s as far as it will pull out). Now you can adjust the time. Rotate the hands forward and past the 12 o’clock position until the date ticks forward by one day. Now you know you have just passed midnight and are into the AM hours. Now set the watch. If you need to set to a PM time then you will need to go around passed 12 again. Why go through the trouble of doing this? Well, if you’ve left your watch sitting and it stopped, you have no idea if it stopped in the AM or the PM. You wouldn’t want to set the date and the time, only to find that the date advances at noon!!! Finally, push in the crown back two stops (all the way) to where it is manually winding the watch. Now, with soft pressure, push in on the crown while you wind it. It will catch the threads on the watch case and will start to screw in. Screw it in until it stops. Now go find 300m of water and have fun! Note: you should not attempt to change the date on your watch if the time is between 10PM and 12AM.
